David’s Restaurant prides itself on serving the finest seafood and meats available on Amelia Island, and for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or welcome party, David’s has two event areas available. “Our private wine room is perfect for small gatherings and will accommodate up to 12 guests,” says Deborah Gold, David’s owner and chef. “For a larger event such as a wedding reception or rehearsal dinner, our smaller private dining room will accommodate up to 50 guests. We can also offer the full restaurant, which comfortably accommodates up to 150 people!”
The Private Wine Room at David’s is a luxurious setting for intimate gatherings. Guests can expect to be surrounded by rich mahogany and some of the finest wines in the world during their culinary experience. The table settings are rich and elegant, and brides are welcome to provide their own flowers or personal touches.
The Private Dining Room can be configured in a number of different ways in order to host your wedding event exactly as you envision it. “We have created several banquet menus for you to choose from or we can tailor a custom menu to your specific needs,” says Deborah. David’s mouthwatering menu features a wide selection of delicious entrees such as Filet Oscar, Rack of Lamb, Grilled Prime Rib Eye, Petite Filet, Chilean Sea Bass, Dover Sole, Truffle Scallops, and their new Wild Mushroom Alfredo.
One of their specialties—offered nowhere else on the island—is Whole Alaskan King Crab, each 6 to 10 pounds, shipped straight from the Bering Sea off the famous “Deadliest Catch” boat. “This menu offering is one of our most popular for a party,” says Deborah. “Can you imagine the look on your guests’ faces when they feast their eyes on a whole Alaskan crab? Your picture will be taken and permanently displayed on our King Crab Hall of Fame wall. It’s probably one of the most memorable meals they will ever be treated to.”
In addition, David’s has one of the most beautiful and fashionable lounges on the island, offering fines wines and a myriad of craft cocktails like Lemon Drop, Cucumber Gimlet, and the best Cosmopolitan you’ve ever tasted, along with tasting flights of ports and martinis. Their bar menu includes Grilled Lamb Chops with chimichurri sauce, Filet Kabob skewered with bell pepper, onion, served over jasmine rice, and Seafood Nachos piled high with shrimp and crab in a cheesy lobster sauce. “For wedding guests who want to take a break from a busy weekend of events, David’s Lounge is a great respite,” says Deborah. “Our atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and our live music creates a blissful ambience.”
